The first “CE Marking” certification for machineries
During our event for Quality Management Systems that was organized by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism and the Cyprus Certification Company on Thursday, 09 December 2004, Houtris awarded with a Certificate of Conformity for CE Marking that applies to the Refuse Collectors and Portable/Stationary Compactors produced.
This is the first time where a machine that was manufactured in Cyprus, received the CE Marking certificate from ELOT (as Organization for Standardization). In order to achieve this certification, Houtris assist by PriceWaterhouseCoopers consultants developed and applied the essential technical information as it is required by the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
The CE marking is a mandatory European marking for certain product groups to indicate conformity with the essential health and safety requirements set out in European Directives. In addition, a product shows to the Authorities of member state of European Union that this product can be sold legally in their country.
